I think of design as a balance between mimesis and anti-mimesis: [1] art imitates life and [2] life imitates art.

1. My design process begins by holding a mirror to the world, and finding ways to empathize with the people around me.

2. But equally, design is an agent of change; disruptions are just as impactful as reflections.
